Loneliness in Two Parts I.
Sure, she saw the joy,
the smile in the bride's eyes,
adoration and not a little awe from the groom.

Overflowing family and friends hit it home,
embracing the couple and each other,
a celebration of love so pronounced
that it can leap out into the night and last forever.

Weddings make me feel so alone, she sighed,
mind alighting upon lovers who have been but aren't,
romances that may never be.
The bride with her groom across the room.
No one there with her.
